When designing the Aerolight Disc, the aim was to achieve an ultralight, rigid, sensitive and reactive frame. The previous design and development of the Aerolight Disc has allowed incorporating a combination of carbon fibres and resins that are the essence of the new generation of BH frames.
KAMMTAIL DESIGN
The front triangle has been completely redesigned for better wind penetration, maintaining the Kamm-Tail for a clean and flat surface. The rear chainstays are stiffer and lighter, aiming for maximum reactivity to the pedalling. The Full Carbon fork allows an extra passageway for air to flow between the wheel and the frame without producing any kind of turbulence. The seat post has 90 mm of travel so that it can be adapted to the geometry of each user.
HOLLOW CORE MOLDING TECHNOLOGY
Monocoque frame technology that applies high pressure in the mould to reach the highest levels of compact material and eliminate inconsistent pressures in the frame that create bubbles and imperfections. Allows controlling and optimizing the thickness in different parts of the frame.
ACR STEERINGDi2 INTEGRATED
The new Aerolight Disc features the ACR system, which enables 100% internal cabling. The headtube interior has been adapted to incorporate a Di2 battery without it being visible from the outside.
28MM
It allows a clearance for a tyre width of up to28 mm and is the optimal measurement for greater rigidity and safety, optimising the position of the brake.
FLAT MOUNT SHIMANO
Rear triangle designed specifically to react to the new forces that intervene in disc braking . The incorporation of a Flat Mount anchor, compatible with a 140 160 mm rotor, on the front and rear part, has led to a key difference in the frame design. The rear part of the frame has been completely redesigned to support the forces and tensions produced by the new anchoring of the disc brakes that are completely different to those produced by conventional brakes. The 12 mm thru-axle provides increased stiffness and safety. It optimises the position of the disc brake. And it doesn't require tools if the cyclist needs to remove the wheel.
The Aerolight Disc bike is the new BH bikes for top-level competition triathletes.
